He was on the team a few years back... anyway, he was burned severely in an explosion in YTown last week & is in a coma in the Akron Burn Unit. Please keep Jason & his family in your thoughts... they sure need it.

how HORRIBLE!! This story literally turned my stomach - i can't even imagine the pain he was in at the time it happened - not to mention the pain in healing now.
One of the articles I read, thanks to Dannielle's link, said that he's in a medically induced coma to heal. When you think about 60-65% of the body, that's like from your stomach to your head including your arms. YUCK!!!!
I know that the Fan Club is sending a card. Maybe other fans will do the same?
Does anyone have an address to send a card to.Phone systems in hospitals are easily overloaded and a card can always be viewed later at a better time.Best wishes to Jason and his family and also reminds you of what minor league players have to do to make ends meet while in the minors. Makes you wish the spoiled big- leaguers could apreciate the good things they have.
Kevin - where did you find the phone number? Did your source have an address as well? I've searched on every search engine I can think of and can't find the Akron Burn Center! If anyone has the address, please post :-) Thanks!
idk if that's the same place or not Chaz - on both those links, that burn center's phone number is listed as(330) 543-8224. But Kevin posted 330-543-9525 as the phone number that he called. Unless they have multiple lines? Usually they only publish one "general" line though...idk.
If anyone has a problem with "minor league hockey", just take a few minutes and read the wishes to Jason and his family. At this point, maybe every state in the union has just about been represented by someone.Minor league hockey can be described with one word-FAMILY.
