| I tell my kid (Kevin the brat) that when the Reds are mathematically eliminated from play-off contention and the Bengals have everyone thinking about next season, the hockey season starts. Well the Reds were eliminated last week and thanks to the Bengals, we are only five weeks away. |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

| I've been thinking the very same thing. The naysayers and the media can knock the Cyclones for being a minor league team all they want, but at least our team has won something in this millennium. Give me a winner, that's all I want. Thank GOD for the Cyclones! |

| Every time I see something about the Bungles in the Enquirer I post if people want to see a professional WINNER to come join the 'Clones! It won't take long for debacles like yesterday to get people fed up with them. |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |

| just a thought.....what if we all went downtown before the Bungles game against Pittsburgh (October 19) and handed out schedules to people going to the game. That's a week before the home opener. We could all wear our Cyclones jerseys. Maybe we could get the green light from the Clones on this. We don't have to stand around the stadium (I don't know if the Bungles would throw up a big stink, but I figure if other groups could do this downtown then maybe we could). |

This is a very good idea. I'd think that all ticket reps and other front office types should do this.
I'd pass this on to your ticket rep. |

| Donnie, third pick? That's being generous. How about "we're number one!" |

| Factor in Oakland/St. Louis and that they always seem to win one or two games after it doesn't matter and it's easy to see why the Bungles can't even be the best at being worst.... :-) |

I must admit that I am one of those people who need to look on the brighter side when talking about the Reds and Bengals.
I tend to forget that the Reds are the best farm club in MLB. And, the Bengals organization has a good heart because it provides jobs for ex cons. Both organizations get my vote for the Pulitzer Prize for making their fellow man (other teams) better athletes.
I promise to try to be more positive in the future. When the Benals are having a rough day I will focus on the fact that they are trying very hard to be a good practice squad for the team on the other side of the ball. In addition, I will praise the reds for providing batting practice for opposing hitters and for allowing opposing pitchers to get in a few warmup innings. |

This is a no brainer. But, you of all people should understand that from a marketing point of view, and from a fan's point of view, that is not acceptable...
"We are the Cincinnati Bengals. We suck. But, at least you have a NFL team. Support us. Purchase tickets, fly the colors, root us on. We have had one winning season in 17. But, at least you have a NFL team. Pay for autographs, pay the salaries of high-priced, under-achieving criminals. At least you have a NFL team."
Certainly, there is such a thing as diehard fan loyalty...sticking through the tough times, celebrating the good times. Perhaps, even when the team owner brags about putting it to the taxpayers of Hamilton County.
The problem is that there have been so very few good times in the last 17 years. And, yet, the fans, for the most part have stuck. Their complaints show that they care. If they did not care, they would not bother to say a word.
