There are 3,7 and 30 day IR classifications. This list is often anything but an indicator of injury. It is used for staying within the maximum number of players who are allowed on an active roster.

Other than Grimald-who may or may not be injured-the others are liekly on IR for these reasons:

1) Syroczinski just was signed and is probably not in game shape.

2) Reynolds is in Europe and this probably is a method of protecting the Cyclone's ECHL rights with him.

3) Van Guilder is in Milwaukee (last I heard) and this probably gives him some sort of official roster status with the Cyclones.

On another note, we appear to be loaded offensively again this season. Latendresse, Beauregard, Gordon, Werner, Rank, Syrocynzski, and Eghoetz all will be good contributors. Don't know much about McLeod, but he had good numbers last year. Woods should also chip in between 15-20 goals.

Van Guilder and Aubin may also ultimately end up in Cincinnati. Our defense looks like a capable lot. If our goaltending ends up being adequate, we may have a very nice team again.

I won't look for a season (115 points) as incredible as last season, but we ought to be a real force in the league again this season.

Thanks for the information, I was wondering how all that worked. I am worried about the goal tending though. I agree everything else looks pretty decent.

I did not like how we played during preseason.. I just hope preseason was just a caution game for no injuries because our defense was horrible and goaltending was horrible... I just hope that wasn't the real Cyclones.

The ECHL's web site now shows Syroczynski on the active roster. It doesn't show anyone on the I.R., and does not show Reynolds, Grimaldi, or Van Guilder on the active roster or I.R. Not sure what the deal is with that.
