Friday Is Hockey Night In Canada In Reading
October 28, 2008
READING, Pa. – The Reading Royals announced that Friday will be “Hockey Night In Canada In Reading” with the Royals and the Cincinnati Cyclones wearing the “Original Six” themed jerseys of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens, respectively.
The Royals, who are the ECHL affiliate of the Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, will raffle off their game-worn jerseys from the game during the season.

| well, does that mean they will auction off the clones jerseys too? thats not really fair...unless meigray gets them for an internet auction |

| we have a montreal night scheduled on friday, november 21st. i would imagine the team will be wearing those jerseys again on that night.. |

A few years ago Reading did tuxedo jerseys for our New Years Eve game against them. They let the team keep the jerseys and do a jersey acution. I'd assume they will do the same in this situation. |

| going along with what jericho said...i'm sure we will be keeping the jerseys to auction them later. since we have our montreal promo coming up in less than month, i figure the jersey's the guys will be wearing on friday will be the same we wear on november 21st. since we already had them and we're playing reading and dayton on the road in a back to back situation, wearing the alternate mtl jersey makes life a lot easier for the equipment guy; if we were wearing red both nights he's have to was the jerseys at as soon as the bus got back to cincinnati which will be at some ungodly hour of the night/morning.... |
