A couple of road games this weekend before finally getting a nice home stretch. We haven't seen Reading yet (well, we've only seen two teams so far) ... finally time to face the squad that gave us our biggest battle in last year's playoffs on Halloween wearing NHL throwbacks. The Royals still have Danny Taylor in goal and therefor have a good chance of winning every night.

Saturday night, you'll never guess, but we play a team called the Bummers ... hopefully another good crowd shows up to support the guys. I'm off work so I'll be there again. Our games against Dayton is when we have played the best, gaining out first point in the OT loss last weekend, and what kind of looked like the first "normal game" (a 3-1 loss) at the home opener. I have no doubt it'll be another close game, as they always are between these two, and hopefully we can limit the SOG like we did at home.

I was surprised to see that they still had Taylor in goal with an affiliation change. I didn't realize he was a Reading 'property'

The Kings have about 563 goalies in thier system and need to get them all playing time. Unfortunately none of those goalies are exactly NHL caliber.

Taylor is a very good ECHL goalie as he proved last year. Reading's defense was also pretty good in front of him. As we have learned things change from year to year. Traffic in front and shooting high should be the solution.
