what game were you watching cman...i was impressed at the improvement, but took the foot off the gas in the second. you want proof...we got out shot 29 to 9 after the first period.
i'm happy to chalk up the win but a lot of work needs to be done. i'd hardly call that a 60 minute effort. lacasse played a solid game and came up big for us, but with as shaky as things have been we can't afford to give go into a defensive shell once we have a lead. sure it's a tough turn around having to come back tonite to play dayton tomorrow, so maybe it was strategic on chuck's part to try to save the legs. |

Thoughts on last night- was this a fluke or did the changes made last week start
to correct our early season problems ?
Lacasse 1-1-0-0 Start: 1st 0:00 Min: 60:00 SV: 36 GA: 3 [W]Reading
Lacasse 0-1-0-0 Start: 1st 0:00 Min: 46:04 SV: 23 GA: 8 [L]Wheeling
Is Wheeling that good,Reading that bad or did the Chuck Weber Cyclones finally
decide to play this year. From box scores and word of mouth,I was ready to write
Lacasse off for the year.Everyone knows how wrong I can be and for the team I hope
this is the case again.This is TWO straight games that we have played good(not great)
hockey,so lets build on this coming Cyclone week (4 home in 5 days)and set lines and
start playing as a team. |

| We can obviously score a lot of goals. We giving our opponenets way too many shots on goal. Solidify the defense and we another solid team that could go deep into playoffs... |

| Come on Guys! or Girls! Never fear when the coaches are near! Now, stay with me for the moment. As I sit here looking at the club line up from the 06-07 season to the 07-08 season, about 85% of the players are gone. In the 06-07 season the clones still got in the playoffs, and lose to Dayton. The 07-08 season they win the Kellycup championship! Today, we have 7 - 10 players rolled over from last year, if that many. The point is, the consistency comes from the coaching staff! Coach Weber and Dean! Did they not pick up a player from a last place team in the Phoenix RoadRunners in Cody Rudkowsky, and made him in to a top notch goilie? So, show some faith in our coaching staff.I am not the least bit concerned about our team and there record. I believe they are just warming up! |
