I was reading on the ECHL website that Steve was fined an undisclosed amount following his actions against Reading on December 12th! What happened? He is a jerk. Last year some friends that sat behind us held up a sign that read "If I Had No IQ, I Could Be A Jackel To", Steve turned around and told us to $%#@ off and made gestures at us (if you know what I am saying). So of course we had to go around back and ask him to sign the poster and he told us he would sign it with our blood.
Classy!! Wouldn't see Coach Weber acting like that! |

| Wasn't it Martinson that had his face punched in when he threw a water bottle at another player in the box years ago playing in the IHL. Great highlight. |

Abuse of an official at the end of the game. At least it wasn't sloppy seconds.
After failing to convert on a lengthy five-on-three advantage, the Royals got a break with 72 seconds to go when Elmira captain Bruce Watson suckered Kirk MacDonald with a left hook as the two battled along the boards.
The shot resulted in a roughing minor and a Royals power play. (Jackals coach Steve Martinson received a game misconduct for verbal abuse of officials after the final horn.)
"It was great discipline on Kirk's part (not to retaliate)," Taylor said. "He's not feeling too good in his face I'm sure, but it turned out well for the team. That's a good team play." |
