One thing about all these "suspended" players I bet is that if a team
was interested in the player,the Cyclone's may be able to work out a
trade or even a cash settlement to release them from our contract.By
not releasing them,this also shows they still hold interest in them
as a player for us.Wednesday night looks like everyone including the
coach will need a scorecard. |

the main reason for suspending a player is to retain the his rights so he can't play for anyone else in north america, should he decide to come back. i guess this does have the benefit that if a player leaves the team because he doesn't like it here and we suspend him we can offer him in a trade; provided he wants to go. i think something like that happening with makway; he was suspended and then a few days later he was shipped off to vegas to complete the trade for houle.... |

It appears like they deleted him from a tryout agreement to upgrade him to a contract. They just reported it in reverse order so it looks strange. |
