For everyone's info, please treat the goalie question as if Lee is not restricted by the "Emergency Goalie" title but as if he was a signed goalie that can be used at will.At this point I am curious to see if he could do the job.
It would be interesting indeed, but at this point I think we should just accept that Weber probably doesn't think he's ready and wouldn't be comfortable starting a game. If so, I predict he would have used him this weekend because Gajewski isn't exactly a goaltender ready to start every game (of course, he plays best against the Chiefs and that's who we had a pair of games against so it's a different story). But who knows, remember when Ben Gray posted a shut out in his first game on the road?
Gajewski is on a roll...I say let him play until there is a reason not to play him. (Assuming Lee lost the EBUG status) and became a regular back up)
After the Wheeling game Gajewski got a major dose of confidence so whatever was said or done for him needs to be repeated. Consistent scoring is a major boost for any goalie's morale so maybe that was it.
In any case I would say its his job to lose and hopefully the team is reinforcing that notion with the scoring and outstanding defensive play.
Remember a goalie we had by the name of Steve Briere. He started the season out strong, but was used like 10 straight games.By the end of that stretch,he couldn't hardly stop a beach ball being shot by a blind man.I don't think Kyle or Loic would be able to handle maybe three straight before they start breaking down.If no goalie is on the way, sign Lee and give him a shot.Even three then one rotation could possibly save a young goalie from over extension.
