Lacasse, after a shut out last night, recorded another in tonight against Lake Eerie. Desharnais had an assist and former Cyclones Ryan Russel and Greg Stewarts handed out the assists on the Dogs game-winning goal.
Is anyone else surprised by Lacasse? First first few games here were atrocious, we all remember the massacre pre-season game and his ECHL debut in Wheeling (I believe it was). Based on this and his record in the IHL prior to coming to us, I was very, well unimpressed ... however, right before and after his injury he seemed to be making some drastic improvements, but even at the game in Wheeling in which we went to, which was a 5-4 victory, he was giving up some serious softies. His success in the A so far is amazing to me, but it is awesome to see. What a triple threat they have had between the pipes this year with the way he's playing now, Desjardins, and Marc Denis. |

Lacasse is on a huge roll.
His first game in WHL was a disaster. In his last game here-the one in which he was injured-he played spectacularly.
Hamilton has an interesting situation. Both Desjardins and Lacasse are performing very well.
Perhaps they'll send us Marc Denis when Price gets healthy in Montreal. LOL. |

a lot of loic's play here can be contributed to the defense in front of him...remember how poor it was? kyle didn't do all that well either. in the ahl, defenses usually do a much better job of clearing the lose pucks. remember when dov got called up in 06-07. he played great after have his ups and downs here....
denis is getting paid way too much to get sent here. i also believe he is on a 2 way (nhl-ahl) contract. so i'm not sure how that would work. i highly doubt well see anyone but loic from hamilton from a goalie prospective... |

| A few of us made it up to the game in Cleveland on Saturday and I was really really impressed. It was a close game, but Lo looked so natural up there like he had found his spot and was not struggling to fit in at all. Hats off to him and the rest of our boys doing great in the AHL :) |

The Cyclones having Gajewski and Nie has nothing to do with Hamilton sending a goalie to us... if they have more goalies than roster spots, they'll send one, regardless of who or what is had in Cincinnati... |

| And Carey Price will be back probably next week or definetely after the all-star break for Montreal, so Hamilton will be sending Loic or Ceddy to us. |

| Also on the topic of Montreal, Greg Stewart got his first NHL point, an assist on a Matt D'agostini goal, in tonight's 5-4 win over Ottawa. He also had a couple of nice hits and played the way you'd expect him to. |

| Two more wins for Lacasse tonight ... the first (thanks for posting bags) his 2nd shut-out ... I continue to be amazed in a good way. Aubin scored the Dogs' 4th goal Friday night while Ryan Russell picked up an assist. Last night Russell scored unassisted and Aubin scored again (with RR on the assist). Latindresse also had an assist on HAM's first goal. |
