| With the Cyclones playing like they are tonight, with Matt they could finally make a big push in the standings the last few months of the season and easily secure a playoff spot with the north standings so close |

| the biggest thing matt will bring to the team is having a healthy scratch in the stands...guys always play harder when they know that if they have an off night there is someone that can replace them. i say leave things alone until someone needs to be sat down......both lynch and sawatske have been doing great jobs. these 2 guys actually want to play the game. don't sit them down just because chico is healthy...he retired, remember? make him prove that he wants to be there and don't put him in until he earns it.... |

Matt has been with Hammer for quite a few broadcasts. He has been doing a pretty good job with providing addtional color during the games. Who knows.......maybe one day he will look to broadcasting hockey games.

Broadcasting would be better than the commercial real estate career he was thinking about earlier this year!
Seriously though he does pretty good "color" to Hamel's play by play. His commentary seems to be well thought out and he delivers with minimum ums and huhs and stutters. He offers a second side of the broadcast that really makes it professional.
For all his talent in the radio booth he will be most welcome in front of the goalie on the PP! Replacing Johnson or Lynch in that role should really help the point guys get their shots through, in addition to the tip ins you know he's going to add. |
