| Sorry Dayton. You will be missed. I hope you only take a year off and we can resume things in 10-11. |

Sorry to hear about Dayton. Was looking forward to splitting ALL the DAY/CIN games between TOLEDO & DAYTON... Now I guess we'll play Toledo a MILLION times now.
Like a couple people said above, We know how it is having gone thru a season suspension of operation ourselves. Hope Dayton can re-coop and come back SOON!! It was great having such a short trip between cities... was just like a Home Game!
I hope the move of Reading and Trenton doesn't hurt their teams now that travel costs will certainly be more of an issue.

| I am real sorry to hear that Dayton is taking 2009-10 off. Hopefully we will see you back for 2010-11. Meanwhile we hope you will join us in Cincinnati for your hockey fix. |

My sympathies go out to all Bomber fans.
Though the news hardly comes as a surprise, it still stings. I've enjoyed both the rivalry and the many people I've met in Dayton over the years. I'm sorry that it can't continue.
My hat is off to Costa Papista for giving it his all to try to keep the franchise going for the past five years. The horrible economy of Dayton (20K lost GM jobs alone over the past 10 years), its diminished demographics, and the horrendous lease agreement all were far too much for anyone to overcome. Costa was the fourth owner in the past 11 years (Gingher/Gagnon/Reilly) and none could make a go of it. It's a shame.
Who knows what the future holds? I would like to think that there is a place for hockey in the Dayton area at either a new arena or a revamped Hara. Perhaps the time will come when Mandalay Bay gets the urge to expand their Dayton presence beyond The Dragons. I'm sure that Mandalay will be watching with interest what happens in Toledo, given that the Mudhen operation now owns the Walleye.
Once again, I am extremely sorry about the loss of the Bombers. |

Ok, Puckhead60...that was priceless!!! LOL
Secondly, to add to the posts about why the alignment seems so messed up, I truely believe that Youngstown will join the North division, making for 6 and 6 of teams.
The Cyclones didnt even announce that they were returning until late March, early April...
Im sure that Youngstown could easily slip in as a late entry, if Im not mistaken. We have so many teams just sitting dormant (sp*) so the league will probably just be temporary for next year, maybe a trial period, and maybe Dayton will return for the following season. |

| Teams do not officially have to announce participation in a following season until the playoffs end from what I remember reading a couple times in an ECHL press release a while ago. |

You've been saving that hatred? Mine started the day I heard they were in the E and the day I realized Martinson was their coach.
Sorry to dbl post...

Not really, but I had to delegate my hatred between two teams. I delegated 75% of my hate to Elmira and 25% to Dayton. Now, I can dedicate the whole 100% to Elmira. |

Could J-town be next?

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Sounds to me that there is just bargining/leverage being thrown around in this situation with J-town. I dont believe that they will leave J-town.
Sounds like if they cant get something by the April 10th deadline, that the team will seek other avenues of running the team in a lease agreement with the stadium, dropping the current management. |
