HAMILTON, ON - Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today that the club has assigned forward David Desharnais to the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.
Desharnais, 23, has played in seventy two games with the Bulldogs this season, recording fifty points (nineteen goals, thirty one assists) along with sixteen penalty minutes. The 5-foot-6, 180-pound forward has also skated with the Cyclones last season recording 29 goals and 77 assists along with 18 penalty minutes. Also assisting the Cyclones in winning the 2007-2008 ECHL Kelly Cup with 9 goals and 24 assists along with 18 penalty minutes.
The Hamilton Bulldogs return to Copps Coliseum on Friday, April 3rd for a 7:30 p.m. game with the Grand Rapids Griffins. Fans can listen to every 'Dogs game on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, TALK 820. Fans can also listen or watch at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com by clicking on the 'AHL Live' or 'TALK 820' icons on the Bulldogs website. All regular-season radio and online broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to each scheduled game-time. | Actually it should have read that Montreal assigns DD not Hamilton because DD signed with Montreal and is on loan to Hamilton because of the contract he signed in Oct or Nov. He is not under a AHL contract anymore but a NHL.I had a feeling something like this would come up today |

| I knew it was a joke when I saw the headline but it was very well done. I thought last night about posting that Chuck Weber was resigning immediately to take on a new job but that was too cruel to even think about. I figure we are on borrowed time in any case. |
