Cannot keep up, From the ECHL site: St.Denis IR.....Loic recalled.....add Lee EBUG......delete Lee, EBUG......Woll, activated of IR
We seem to still be missing a goaltender? |

| Thanks Xclone, ECHL transactions had Lee being released from EBUG but not picking back up Loic.Thats what I thought might be developing, however......... |

| I do have to post this, It would be kinda neat to dress and start the camera guy, I for one would buy a Lansdowne Jersey, He kinda has a cult following. |

For one he isn't the camra guy he is the video coach
and he does one hell of a job and for 2 they would need to sign
him to a ECHL contract for him to play or if he is the EBug
our goalie has to be hurt for him to play. |

| What i'm saying is it would be fun to watch the "video coach" play,I'm well aware that he tapes the games, not some guy shooting pictures with a camera. I've heard so much about him...he's on the roster, he's off the roster, on the roster and then...off the roster. I'm not implying we sign him to a contract or someone gets hurt. I think that everyone on here has at one time or another wanted to give Lee a chance....I'm certain he does one hell of a job at what he does....Thats all i'm saying....relax. several years ago the Comets had to dress their trainer, or equipment manager and he had to play...he won in a shoot out. I think it would be fun to watch, Lee play a regular season game, and I would believe that he would want to play it |

I said it 3 years ago that they should sign Lee to
a contract and let him play more then just one game. From what
i hear he is one hell of a goalie and even won a championship
with his team in England. So I'm all with you on giving him
a chance to play but the team would have to give him a ECHL contract
to do that and that's not going to happend for some odd reason. |

| I think the reason why the Clones won't sign him to a contract is due to double paying a person on payroll. Since he is on payroll as a video coach, I don't think signing him to an ECHL contract would be that good of an idea. That's only my opinion. |

| Ok I get it, I thought it was as easy as "Get your pads on kid...today is your day", Hell we could even make a promotion of it, maybe even a bobblehead. I didn't know the red tape that it involved. It would be fun to see one of our regular goaltenders fiend an injury and watch him play.........Maybe preseason next year if he is around |

Lansdowne is obviously not an ECHL quality goaltender or he'd be playing.
He's a video coordinator who also serves a very useful purpose as he's a competent enough goalie to serve in the EBUG capacity. It spares Weber the headache of always having to raid some college club team or fly in an SPHL guy. And I'm sure that he is used in practices regularly.
I would imagine that at some point LL will get to play-when the Cyclones up by 3 or 4 goals with a few minutes remaining and our goalie doesn't have a shutout going. That seems to be standard ECHL coaching gratitude move for their long standing EBUGs. Dayton did this with a kid named Tyler Mittlestead a few years back. I think he gave up a goal, but it had to be quite a thrill to just get in the game. I hope that Lee gets his shot next season. |
