No. While the high school programs here growing & getting better, D1 schools don't consider this area a hockey hot bed yet. That's why you see players leave to play for Midwest Elite League teams, prep schools, or in Canada where they can get exposure to D1 and junior scouts. As the Queen City Steam junior program continues to grow, the need for these players to leave home might lessen.
