Reds Conflict With FSO's Blue Jacket Playoff Sked Posted 4/14/2009 5:39 PM EDT on Cincinnati.com
After reading the concerns of NHL fans on my blog earlier today, I wanted to get the word out: Unless Fox Sports Ohio secures alternative channels on area cable systems, Cincinnati Reds games will pre-empt four of the possible seven first-round NHL playoff games between the Columbus Blue Jackets and Detroit Red Wings.
The Blue Jackets-Red Wings series opens at 7 p.m. Thursday on FSO. But Reds games conflict with games two (6 p.m. Saturday) and three (7 p.m. next Tuesday). The Reds also will pre-empt the final two games, if necessary, on April 27 and April 29.
FSO executives tell me they're trying to get a secondary channel for the game down here in Reds country. In the past, Time Warner has put conflicting programming on Ch. 99. As of 5:30 pm Tuesday, no word from TWC on putting the Blue Jackets on another channel. I'll post an update as soon as I know more. Or you'll find updates on channel info and HD telecasts at the Fox Sports site. Here's the FSO release with game times.
I'll update this if I learn anything about local carriage for the Blue Jackets.

I normally wouldn't say this but, I think the majority of people would rather see the Reds play than the Blue Jackets... (even though I'm a Hockey fan and I'd rather watch the Jackets in playoffs)
The question is, will Vs. show the Jackets games- if so, do we care if FSOhio is going to carry it?
