Fantastic. Everything about this night was perfect. This has been my favorite game so far at USBA. We even had some Wheeling fans sitting in front of us and they were super cool the whole time. Good times.

What is there to say about this group of players? They have guts, guts and more guts.

They never let the frustration get to them in the end. Darling was once again outstanding. We controlled the game territorily and outshot them 51-28. We deserved to win, but the Nailers were very valiant in defeat.

When Syro missed the open net a bit before he scored the series-winner, I thought it was curtains for us. How many opportunities can a team miss before the other team scrounges up some fluke goal? Evidently at least 1 more than the Cyclone's did.

The guys were dead tired and throwing themselves in front of shots. Everyone gave it all that he could. And that is all that can asked of them.

Hats off to the Nailers and heads off to whomever we face next. I think the Cyclones agenda from coach to trainer should be sleep. And then sleep some more.

And all that cost was 12 bucks. Unreal.

CycloneFanNKY I want to personally congratulate you on being there for one of the greatest wins this season, and although I watched it B2, certainly it wasn't as good as being there in person....and I can NEVER say you are a fair weather fan. To all of you who weathered a poss Cyclones Loss, you are true fans and I salute you. Me staying home and missing a game like I did was just a risk I had to take. If I remember I did catch game 7 last year, I was younger then...nevertheless I hope you all have a safe trip home and see you on Friday....scuba

I wouldn't sweat it SCUBA. I got to make 3 of the 4 playoff games, keep my season tickets and put together several group nights a year. I have had numerous personal issues where I had to prioritize attending tonight. I've been through the up and down years back to their IHL days.

I support this team to where it is a sacrifice sometimes, but there are those on here who pass judgement on others. Take 'em with a grain of salt and if they don't like it, well, you get the point.

See you this weekend.

And some people need to go re-read what I posted.
I said IF YOU CAN BE THERE I WOULD COME. I didn't say bring your sick grand mal and grand pal to the game. If you are sick and had sick kids then I'm glad you stayed home. If you had to work and couldn't get the night off that's also to bad. But for all those people that was bitching and crying about "we can't win at home blah blah blah BS" then them are the Fair WEATHER only love this team when they win fans that I was talking about. Did you see me quote anyone? NO I just said I hate fair weather fan which I do and I'm not afraid to say it. My name is Rob and I sit in section 120 Row B (now I moved to row C) seat 6. And Like I said B4 I HATE FAIR WEATHER FANS. If you think I'm talking about YOU come over Friday and we will have a friendly talk about my fillings on Fair Weather Fans. Thank you and have a great night.

Amazing how much excitement a game can bring when a referee puts his whistle in his pocket and let's the guys play. Great flow throughout the game. Non-stop action.

Most exciting hockey game I've ever witnessed.

x2 for Darling. I couldn't believe the saves him and Loic were getting.

There's only 1 word to describe that game, WOW!!!

Darling played his heart out...he's a fine goaltender and hopefully some scouts payed some attention to him tonight and throughout the playoffs (so we dont have to see him next year)

I jinxed the game by saying about 5 minutes into the 3rd we were inevitably going to 5-6 overtimes...but all i have to say is that was some of the most intense ECHL hockey i have seen in a while. Nonstop action, several good checks, and scoring chances galore just to have each goalie deny the opposition.

Wheeling definitely deserved to be there but in the end, the clones just had more gas in the tank.

I'm just glad it wasnt a fluke goal that decided that game (seeing as a fluke is what pushed it to OT)

HOLY MOLEY!! I was so afraid I had seen the last of the Clones this year. I had to leave after the first overtime. THAT SUCKED!! I didn't find out the final score till I got a break at 1215. That was some unreal action tonight. Great effort by both teams, and the goalies....well Loic gets an attaboy for his rebound from Game 6 and Cutis "Patrick Roy" "Oh My Darling....WOWOWOWOW! You looked awful comfy standing on your head! Great to hear all the fans throughout the entire game cheering every shot, check, and clear. It sounded at time as if there were 9-10K people thre tonight. I have no fingernails left, and my right hand is purple. THANK YOU CLONES!!!

WOW! I am still on a high this morning. We were on the glass in the corner and also have the purple hands going on. The three people i brought with me, had an out of town reunion on Friday and Saturday and at the end of the game went and bought their tickets for the second round! Congrats to the guys, now they need to get some well deserved rest and continue on.

Excellent game last night... I still don't have the words to describe it. I enjoyed last night's game about as much as that last game against Vegas last year (although the celebration was shorter, LOL).

The boys created their opportunities and Curtis Darling is just a beast. Congrats to him on how well he has played this whole series. It really was a series between the two best North Division teams.

I can finally relax and take a breather while the boys are resting. No more nausea until at least next weekend!

it's now tuesday morning and i think i'm still in shock. the boy's executed their games plan to perfection and had it not been for darling the score would have been very lopsided. personally i think the series mvp should go to darling, he kept wheeling in tonight's game, not to mention won games 1 and 2 for them. darling made a save early in the 2nd OT; he was basically flat on his face on the ice, i believe it was sproat who popped out with the puck at the bottom of the faceoff dot and somehow darling got his glove up and made the save. wow was all i could say....

i also, take my hat off to charon, the ref, who redeemed himself for his butchering of game 1. he kept his whistle in his pocket, only calling the blatant infractions, and the players got to sort the game out for themselves. that's exactly the wat it should be in playoff hockey.

now for the 'clones. i thought they looked tight during warm-ups, but a freind of mine who was in wheeling for game 3 said "nope, they look determined...the same way the looked during warm-ups in game 3. we are going to win...." every sinlge one of them, from the roll players like JJ and dietrich to the "stars" like egho, and chico showed heart and character in a way that i haven't seen in quite a while. i feel the need to mention a few players by name, even though all of them stepped it up. the petit, santorelli, faulkner line was simply outstanding; i hope chuck keeps that line together. those 3 guys are starting to get the feel of playing together and their puck possession and the scoring chances they generate are amazing. late in the game it seemed that chuck was throwing them out there almost every other shift and the wheeling players and coach's seemed to have the "damn it, not these guys again." look on their faces....next up is chico. someone mentioned early in this thread about how he has shut the critics up. i was one of those critics and yes he has. to me it seemed like he was simply going through the motions during the bulk of the regular season, but the last week or so of the regular season and in this playoff series he has returned to being the chico of old. he's moving his feet, being much more active in the offensive zone and neutral zone, he's even getting back and playing hard in the defensive end. it's great to have you back chico! also, matt macdonald. yes, you read that right, i'm giving some props to macker. he finally played a full games worth at the level that kept him in the ahl for 50+ games. he had one shift when he tried to do a little too much and coughed the puck up but he stayed with the play and eliminated the scoring chance for wheeling. last season, i couldn't stand bryan schmidt in the regular season but the guy showed up in the playoffs and illustrated why he was an ahl player. last nights game was the same step for macker and we need him to continue doing it; he's done it in spurts, but now that i've seen that he is capable of playing that way for a full game, i'm going to need him to keep doing it. keep it up matt...lastly is loic. he bounced back as i knew he would. many of the goals from saturday fall on the defenses shoulders just as much as they did on his. last night, with a defensive unit playing up to their potential, loic did exactly what he needed to do; and that is, as chuck puts it "make all of the saves that he should and a few of the ones that he shouldn't." the d kept the traffic to a minimum and forced shots from outside which loic smothered. when wheeling was able to break through, and they did have some dandies, loic was equally up to the task.

congrats guys....take it to whoever is next....

Other that the kelly cup game that was the most exciting game i have ever seen! The CLones played with the heart they were lacking from saturday and then added the will they needed in this one! Its almost poetic that it came down to double overtime in game 7 considering how close the division was in the regular season. Let em get some rest! They deserve it

Congrats to the Cyclones!!
Congrats too to Wheeling. Both teams played a tough series and it was fun to watch. Darling is one of those goalies you hate to play against but would love if he was on your side. All in all not what we expected in round 1 but the outcome was want we wanted.

The boys need some rest and some ice packs, then it's game on for Friday. See everyone there.

Told you all that I was the Jinx. I did get to listen to the game around 10ish and heard most of the 1st overtime. Turned the volume down to watch the Reds and fell asleep for a few only to find out we won. CONGRATS GUYS !!! Don't think I'll be able to get down this weekend due to prior commitments (band playing/Family stuff)but giv'em hell for me !!
