http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cincinnati_Cyclones#Retired_numbers
7 - Retired in honor of the fans. The fans, being the seventh player, were recognized by the team by the dedication of the number 7 to them. 22 - Don Biggs 13 - Paul Lawless on April 2, 2004. 14 - Retired in honor of Pete Rose, the Cincinnati Reds baseball player. Since he is banned by Major League Baseball, the Reds cannot retire his number. The Cyclones retired the number in his honor for this reason. 21 - Gilbert Dionne - Retired on December 2, 2006. |

I think there is a big list of names that could and SHOULD be retired, in a few years, starting with Coach Weber (even though he cant have a jersey retired, RETIRE THE MAN'S NAME- He's GOD in this town LOL), I feel Cedric probably for being one of the best goalies ever in a Cyclone uniform.
Any other ideas? There are several from past teams that I would like to see also, but we may run out of spots in the arena......
Remember........we need to save room for 3 more banners after this season is over ;) (Division, American Conference, and yes, Kelly Cup #2) |

I say that we unretire #14 and give it to one of Our Cyclones players. F Pete Rose. What has he done for the Cyclones? NOTHING at all that's what. When I think of #14 I think of Stefan Ustorf more then I do of Pete Rose. |

| Todd Simon's #9 he is in the top 5 for alot of stats for the ihl years, geoff sarjeant he is the all time cyclones goalie with wins in all 3 franchises and why not retire 266 for Ron Smiths wins teams now retire goofy numbers but Ron Smith like Chuck Weber was God in the 90s, i think when barret retires or leaves 11 should be retired for his dedication for the team and the city |

| I don't think they'll ever retire any other IHL Cyclones since Biggs and Dionne are done with, merely for the fact that I think they only want to push the current ECHL product. I have personally always said I would love to have Geoff Sarjeant retired. My all-time favorite Cyclone, and if they were going to retire any goalie I feel it should be home. The problem would be that since there are only a couple goalie numbers, it would be kind of hard to retire a #31. But I don't think that will ever happen. Simon is a good choice, BP. Along with being one of the strongest forwards, he was also a big fan favorite in the same vein as Sarj and Eric Dandeneult. |

Not to be picky but the TEAM BANNERS are at the other end of the arena- I'm sure there will be plenty of room for those.
I don't think that we will see any more retirement- especially from the IHL days. I think after the season is over, they need to recognize Coach Weber in some way...HOW? I don't know. But, remember how this season started and we were all 'down on the club?' It's amazing how this team turned it around. |

| Hello everyone! I check this website all the time, but rarely do I post. I just can't compete with most of you! LOL. But this topic is of particular interest to me. I loved Geoff Sarjeant. He was committed to the Cyclones and the fans of the Cyclones. What he did when he was here was exceptional. I also have to agree with BP about Barrett. If ever there was a true hockey player, in my opinion that is Barrett! He plays with grit, plays hurt and leads this team on and off the ice. He is a player that I truly respect and it appears that his teamates and coaches do too. #11 should be in the rafters when he leaves. I also agree with most of you about Coach Weber. He has done simply an amazing job here in Cincinnati! He is a heck of a judge of talent and let's face it, almost all of his moves have panned out here. He is very fan friendly and one of the few coaches who "gets it' when it comes to being the face of a franchise. Thanks for letting me rant! See you at the next home game. |

Two names lead my list-Doug Kirchoffer and Dennis Desrosiers. Without those two laying the foundation for this franchise, this team would have been long gone. |

Where's Dale....lol. Wasn't it him, or who was it, that had a brother that played. Same last name I blieve. Cyclones trivia, here we come!!!
Jevers, you were asking for ideas on how to improve the website, wouldn't a TRIVIA be something cool? If you could find a way to track it, or track how many votes go to each person, and what not, IDK. Just a thought.
Either way, again, CWeb needs some recognition, without a doubt. Glad to see so much imput into this jersey retirement topic. It gives our team another reason for a QUALITY bobblehead night (and appreance from a former Cyclone, something I think should happen more often). |
