| Well that was ugly. Let's hope they can control the Stingrays on Monday. If not it is going to be a short series. |

| Truthfully that was an outstanding effort by the guys. I don't know if Chuck laid into them but that was an awesome 3rd period. |

Was not all that surprised myself. The long break between series (as has happened in the past) and the Cylones come out a bit 'rusty'! It did take longer for them to break free of the 'rust' (third period) than I thought, but by then the gap was was one hell of a climb to bridge.
I look forward to game #2 and a big turn-a-round for our team. |

In the first two periods, the 'Clones looked really rusty. Positioning was bad, puckhandling/passing was bad, guys were standing around, etc... We turned in on in the 3rd, but didn't have nearly enough to do anything other than make it remotely interesting. Had we turned it on in the 2nd, it might have been a different game, but we didn't and that's all that matters.
As for the Rays, they made some mistakes but we didn't/couldn't capitlize. On the other side of the coin, Cyclones mistakes went to the back of the net. One thing I will say is that while the Stingray's goaltending is better than it was last year, there were an awfully lot of juicy rebounds.
If the Cyclones can regain their legs and pull their heads out of their behinds, this series is definitely winnable. I suspect that Chuck will make the appropriate adjustments (i.e. benching Miller) and game 2 will have a completely different feel... |

From what I saw the white blurs outplayed the black blurs.
The third period was a different game; apparently it took two periods to wake up and start playing again. Like others have said this is pretty standard for the Cyclones this year after a lay off.
One disturbing point was that when the goalie change was made there was no subsequent surge or change in momentum. I know it won't happen every time but giving up a goal on the first or second shot was pretty disheartening.
The three goals in the third had to give SC reason to rethink their game even if just for a few moments.
I look for a offensive explosion in game 2 on Monday. Coach Weber is most likely putting a charge in our guys. Hopefully Van Guilder is out of his funk and Syroczynski regains his offensive presence he had earlier in the playoffs. A split in their barn would be fine. |

| Too much rest for Cincinnati going up against a confident SC team was the story in Game 1. If this series goes the distance expect the long rest we had to come into our favor. Weber should have them more than prepared for Game 2. |
