Players who won't be back include Yanick Lehoux, the team's leading point getter, and goalie Marc Denis. Also gone are Steve Gainey, T.J. Kemp, Mathieu Aubin, Doug Janik, Ryan Flinn, Olivier Latendresse, Thomas Beauregard, Doug Janik, Dan Jancevski and Tyler Shelast....
Beauregard, Latendresse and Aubin have not been signed by Montreal and apparently will not be by Hamilton either.
Loic Lacasse is not appearing on the habs prospects site which I visit. I had thought he was signed through next season, but perhaps I was mistaken. At this point, he does not appear to be part of the Montreal organization from what I can determine.
Marc Denis is gone and that would give Cedric a very good shot to be Hamilton's #1 goalie. The Canadiens may have drafted a goalie who would be given preference over Cedric, but I haven't checked their draft/free agent signees to see if there would be an obvious choice to supplant Desjardins as Hamilton's top goalie. |
