Faulkner was a hard worker and had a great deal of character. He has now played in 262 career regular season games so he would be categorized as a veteran.
He's not the type of veteran signing who probably would have interested Weber. Faulkner is a very run-of-the-mill type of player. He made a wise decision to go to Europe as his AA hockey options were probably limited.
