| That would mean we have 20 actice players, which is 2 more than allowed by league rules, even with Coghlan and Zinger on IR |

the roster is capped at 20 active players so we are legal. we can only dress 18 (usually 10 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies) for games. |

| Gotcha, is the general concensus that Coghlan and Zinger are on the IR for 7 and 3 days respectively to see what other d-men will be cut and/or put on IR. I thought Zinger played great, and i personally am partial to Coghlan. |

i think they actually are a little dinged up. the key at this level of hockey is to work the IR so you can carry more than 20 players on the roster. once the season gets started players get banged up on a daily basis. when a player gets dinged, he'll get scratched if there is no room on the IR, then when another player's IR time is up the team can put newly injured player on the IR.
i hope that makes some sense. |
