Is anyone else upset the USBA no longer sells Budweiser products? What's with the new policy of taking the caps for bottled soft drinks and bottled water? That's just stupid! I know other arenas have been known to do that but I thought the people at USBA were still using a little bit of common sense. Don't they know how many kids are at the games who spill their drinks because it doesn't have a lid! Not to mention the adults! I shouldn't have to pay so much for a drink and have to bring my own cap for a bottle of water!
The cap thing is a major inconvenience. THe fact that Bud products are not there is a good thing! Their products are aweful! Typical AB probably came in and tried to strong arm the Cyclones into a bad contract. I boycott AB prodcucts and so should you!
They also take the caps at various other minor league arenas ... I know Wheeling used to, as has been mentioned here before. We haven't had problems with stuff being thrown on the ice for a while so I'm guessing this is just a rule of the new vendor ... even though I don't know how that would even effect them.
No Caps and no lids for drinks makes for a lot more mess to clean up after games from spillage. As I am sure the arena folks are finding out! (I will carry a spare cap for future games.) My real problem is the costs that went UP and the fact that the food purchased was not even hot. Nothing worse than cold fries. Was there early enough to miss the BIG long lines, so no excuse for serving cold food. Will eat befor coming to games in the future!!
I think that is standard procedure with Aramark. Once I ordered Chicken strips with fries before a game at PBS, the chicken was lukewarm and they almost double charged me for the fries. Who authorized Aramark to do business at USBA? Aramark is awful!!!!
Cyclones hockey. A championship caliber team in a city of losers.
