I saw the Jersey from CyclonesHockey.com and enlarged it.

I really hope they didn't pay someone to design it, because IMHO it is lame looking. It doesn't look like much thought was put into the design. |

Agreed. I was thinking it would be similar to how the Reading Royals did their Phillies themes jerseys. White jersey with sublimated 'buttons' up the middle just like their baseball uniforms and the team name in script for the logo.
I think the jersey's would look way better if it actually resembled a real reds home jersey |

Or how Wheeling did their Pirates jerseys, which were also pretty cool. This is indeed kind of lame, but I guess I wasn't expecting much more. It would have been nice if it had at least been colored. |

I'm on the fence, seems like someone could have been alittle more creative, I was looking for some type of a logo involving twister dressed up as the Mr. Reds guy. I will tell you though, after designing the 10th Anniversary patch in 2000 that developing new art and placing it on the jerseys IS expensive! I mean EXPENSIVE. Placing logos already designed and loaded into a computer somewhere and really it's just a click and you have jerseys being made. If the Reds Jersey is the one to go ho hum on I would rather it be this jersey instead of the military appreciation nights jersey. It would be rather amazing to see twister dressed in camos, sporting a old letaher flying cap toting gradnades and the such and waving an american flag with the crests of all the US military on the shoulders. Real Gung ho semper fi type stuff!...Something HFH would be proud of
Here is a question about that jersey though, I'm not at all trying to be politically correct, but quite a few canadians also have served the war on terror, not trying to bring up politics, but how or even should we include the canadian military? provided we have canadians on our team? But I would suppose that we could have a Russian, or years past a japanese goalie...or so on and so forth.......maybe i'm just making too big of a deal. It just seems like a whole group of canadians wearing jerseys to appreciate the US military.......I'm so confused, maybe the players really don't care what they wear......any thoughts |

Scuba - While i get what you saying, I doubt they would have any flags on the jersey other than the US flag. Even though we have far more Canadians than Americans, and a Czech. I wouldnt mind if they played the Canadian national anthem before games in addition to the ours, but its not gonna happen. I really hope they do something awesome with the Military jersey.
Hopefully its not the same as every body elses, just a camo jersey with a standard crest. |

| I'm not advocating for the Canadian flag, not really for it or against it......as the Son of a retired Air Force serviceman I just have to know that at least one of the kids from Canada we have skating for us has either a family member or a friend serving in Afganistan or Iraq. Since the team is based in the US I would figure that it is most appropriate to have the just the US flag. Our Canadian players probably feel the same way when they skate to the ice only to have to stop for the US Anthem........I have never had the opportunity to go to a military appreciation night anywhere, I am a firm believer that folks in the military are indeed protecting my 2 and 3 year old every time they lie their heads on a pillow, I never get out of an airport without thanking someone in camo uniforms....it is just so very important to me....I get goose bumps, sometimes I don't think I do enough for the cause....It is just so very important for me to tell the ones laying down their lives for strangers that the sacrifice isn't a Thankless job, and should never be...sorry to hijack the thread |

| I agree with you, I would have no problem and would like if the jerseys had both a US and Canadian flag, and im sure at least 1 player has a family member who served. Hopefully they make the event a great time as its well deserved. Wouldnt be surprised if that jersey auction sets some records for prices |
