CINCINNATI, Ohio The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have placed forward Adam Henrich on the ECHL's Suspended List. This move allows the Cyclones to maintain Henrich's professional playing rights in North America.
Henrich, 25, has had two separate stints with Springfield (AHL) this season. He was acquired by the Cyclones in a trade for defenseman Jon Landry on November 3 and was injured in his first game in Cincinnati. After missing twelve games due to the injury, Adam returned for the December 2 contest against Kalamazoo and was recalled by Springfield immediately after the game. He left the Falcons after the game Friday night (December 4) and has returned home to Toronto.
The Cyclones return to action on Saturday night (December 12) with a 7:30pm clash against East Division leader Reading. It is 'Wildman Wobler Night' with the first 2000 fans receiving a look-a-like wobler of the team's public address announcer. Sunday afternoon (December 13) it is a 2:30pm clash again with Reading on 'Kids Club Day', where members of the Cyclones Kids Club receive tickets to the game and a special postgame skate session with the players. Both games can be heard on the internet at: www.cycloneshockey.com.
Tickets for the 2009-10 Cincinnati Cyclones season are now on sale. The Cyclones Sales Department can be reached at 513-421-PUCK, extension 3. The Cyclones have selected Friday night games carried on 1530 Homer The Sports Animal and all contests aired on their website at www.cycloneshockey.com.

Wow... That's all I can say. I like having his size up front, but if he doesn't want to be here, he doesn't want to be here. I guess he liked the money the Cyclones were paying him while he was injured though. |

| While the cyclones can place him on the suspended list doesnt that just mean he cant sign with another ECHL team? An AHL team would be free to sign him right? From what i gather he just doesnt want to play hockey at all, maybe his injury was more severe than he thought? Generally the suspended list is just for players going across the pond. |

If I'm not mistaken, no league with reciprocal rights with the ECHL can sign him without the Cyclones permission... |

Here's my thought on this: if he only was able to play a very small amount of games here before his injury, then how do you say that this will hurt the team? I don't understand, besides we have a player assigned to us as of last night from Hamilton.
It sounds like to me that this 'player' didn't get his way & so he "took his ball & went home". We don't need players like that on this team!!! |
Hockey is life. All the rest is just small stuff.

i agree with susan in that adam only played 2 games here so it can't really be said that it's a loss. however, i'm don't think this was a mitch woods situation where adam didn't get his way and went home. last season when that happened chuck openly joked about leaving the team to go home to become a cop. this time chuck walked gently around the situation stating that adam had returned home to deal with some personal issues. to say he "didn't get his way" so he quit seems a bit of a stretch to me; he had just been called up to the ahl for the second time this season. sure, there could be more to the story, but we shouldn't speculate, point fingers, or start rumors. there is a chance that adam could return to the cyclones this season and if he does i would think it would be best for him to have the fans support. regardless, the cyclones retain his AA hockey rights and should chuck decide that adam is not a good fit, a player of adam's caliber will be worth quite a bit on the trade market.

| Yes, I retract my earlier statement & agree with elvis after having been to the Coach's Show last night. It seems that Adam does have some things he needs to take care of at home. I'm sure he'd rather be playing hockey, as most of them do. And when he does return to play, he will need our support to be successful. It's just a bad situation and will work itself out. |

| I just think that we could have really used him when he returned from the AHL. He was a quality player, and that his skill will be missed. I mish him luck with whatever he is having to deal with now at home. |
