You bring up a great point about throwing ideas out by the promotion
department. Has anyone ever been contacted by the promotion dept. and
asked about ideas or asked for ideas ? We were just sent a survey by
the hotel we stayed at asking about our stay and what we liked and
disliked. The club scans the tickets so they know when season ticket
people go to the game. Why not random pick 5 out send a survey to ask
what they liked, what they didn't and what ideas we have. Give me
hockey giveaways, not radio talk show items. I still use my "Garden's
era" ice scraper with the old logo on it!
Maybe I'm being too critical on this topic due to my hatred of Bill
Cunningham. I still remember on 9-11 his actions on the radio telling
everyone the oil pipelines were being shut down and helping cause
panics at gas stations. If you think the Cyclones will be mentioned
by him the day after-get a life! |

| The only thing that matters about this promotion is ticket sales. Nederlander doesn't care if they have 12k non hockey fans in the building all they care about is they sold 12k tickets. So my advice is go to the game, enjoy the game, and move on. Cunningham isn't deserving because he has nothing to do with the Cyclones, but he will move tickets hopefully, and that unfortunatley is the goal of any professional sports team. |

| I think the whole idea of bobbleheads has run its course. It is time for the promotions departments of sports teams to come up with something new. I like the goalie mask idea and kids themed jerseys. I enjoy the hockey well enough on its own but give the kids something to remember the games with. When I was younger I could not get enough Stingers stuff to adorn the walls of my bedroom with. |

I agree with a lot of points being made. Bill C is in no way someone worth promoting a bobblehead with, plainly because I listen to him, I enjoy a lot of what he says (although very, very Republican sided -as is everyone at 700wlw), however, I have heard him bash and kick to the side any talk that Seg Denison does about the Cyclones.
I really wish a Cedric, or CWeb bobblehead would come out, but I guess we'll just have to wait till next season to see something better than this.
It is a great way to get more fans in though. A lot of people listen to 700, so this may work whether the fans like/dislike the selection of b-head. |
