Yes, CinFan has the wrong game ...
What happened was pretty clear ... Benson and the Toledo player were having a stand off after the faceoff. Benson clearly wanted to drop the gloves but it appeared that the Walleye decided it wasn't worth it and attempted to skate off, but Benson remained in front of him and delivered the punch. I wouldn't necessarily call it a "sucker punch" because it was clear that the Toledo player was pretty close to dropping the gloves just seconds before, and probably triggered something verbally when he decided it wasn't worth it. Benson, meanwhile, gave the crowd something to cheer about, because they couldn't about the final score. |

the toledo player did something, how else do you explain luis tremblay getting an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty at the same time as bensons penalty. |
