Just seeing if anyone has any plans on a road trip to J-town on Sat 2-27. A few soldiers and I have tenative plans to make the 3 hr trip from Ft. Meade, MD to attend. We may stay the night around there or somewhere near Pittsburgh at someone's house (who knows). I have never been there but know that many of you have. Is anyone going? Is there any good food around? Good drinking spots? Decent cheap hotels? Places to stay away from? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. THANKS

I am making arrangements to try and go to Johnstown one final time.
There is a McDonald's by the arena and that's about it. I DID find a great restaurant last time I was there. I actually researched it and it was very good. Good food at a reasonable price.

As for drinking I think a lot of Cyclone fans like Scott's By Dam... I can't drink so I'm not for sure.

I have been to Econo Lodge and I have found nothing wrong. Something I hear all the time is "SECURITY" issues.. so get something on the second floor if you want, Or go to Holiday Inn. Both are walking distance to the War Memorial!

You're giving me additional motivation to make the trip to J-Town. I haven't been there in a few years and it looks (unfortunately) like this season will be it for the Chiefs.

| PARTY IN J-TOWN!!! I have my rental car and hotel booked. HFH and 5 other soldiers will be there Sat night! We'll be staying at the Econolodge and leaving out early Sun morning. Hope to see a lot of familiar faces. See you all SAT!!! |
