ELMIRA, N.Y. The Elmira Jackals announced that they have acquired forward Thomas Beauregard from Johnstown in exchange for forward Bear Trapp.

Elmira's first line has scored a tremendous percent of their goals. This gives them a strong second line scorer. Gives Elmira 3 of the top four goal scorers in the league with him and the Donati brothers

The problem is, while his offensive ability makes Elmira tougher in the offensive zone, Beau's defensive play will make it seem more like an Elmira penalty kill while in the defensive zone.

he fits right in there. a bit of a "bad seed" who is hated by many. He is perfect for Elmira- this gives me even more reason to hate the guy. It does give the Jackals one hell of a #1 forward line though with the Donati twins and Beauregard. They are a very scary team now

My guess, and we will see Saturday what the reality is, is that he will be on the #2 line. I would think Elmira would be hesitant to shift the #1 line around now and have he and the Donatis play on the same line. There is still only one puck they can all play with. I am more concerned that this gives them two strong lines.

We have only played Elmira twice all year--both there in the first two weeks ( what a great schedule--so not sure if how much is talent and how much is their schedule, but they are already #1 in the Conference in goals scored by a long shot ( with games in hand over #2 SC) and #2 in goals allowed ( after us). This is all before getting Beauregard who i agree is a defensive liability but he makes them that much stronger offensively. Really look forward to seeing them here at US Bank Arena soon for their only game here.
