| Hamilton's Curtis Sanford was injured during the first period of tonight's game. Cedric relieved him for the shutout win. No news as to the severity. If he can't play I would imagine Robert Mayer would be called up and could be there for a while until Sanford returns. Question then becomes what do the Clones do for a second goalie? Lets hope it isn't serious and this scenario doesn't unfold especially into the playoffs. |

| I was informed of the injury to Sanford by a friend last night during the game. From what I've seen and heard it appears to be fairly serious. I would guess as you have that Robbie will be heading North to Hamilton. For the short term I would imagine that the 'Clones will use Lee Lansdowne as an EBUG. There have been some veteran goalies put on waivers the last month or so that could make for a capable long term back up should Robbie be gone throughout the playoffs, which seems likely. I think it will most likely mean that Jeremy gets to shoulder the team. |

Oh here is a link to a video which shows Sanford getting helped off the ice in from the Abbotsford Heat's youtube page. It also shows the highlights of the game including 2 David Desharnais goals and Abbotsford's coach losing it on the bench.

| Tonight at the Coach's Show Chuck said Sanford has a sprained ankle and is expected to be out another 7 days or so. Odds are that Robbie will be back by the playoffs. Chuck also mentioned that he has spoken with a few guys but no one wants to come out unless they know if they are going to play. |
