I have to ask, any supersitions from anyone last night? I spent about 20 minutes trying to decide which jersey to wear. for Game 6 it was my game-worn Kelly Cup Finals Matt Mcdonald white jersey. I felt that if I wore it game 7 then I was being greedy. I thought of wearing our #13 Lawless St. Patricks jersey, however historically it's not at all good luck. I decided to ask the Cyclone Hockey Gods of old to give us strength so I opted for the Red Dale DeGray #51 old school Bauer. Wife went for old school Game-worn black Dionne jersey. Wife went for kelly Cup season pink in the rink Max Daigneault jersey game 6 the night before. Happy to report, you all might not be so happy to hear but we both wore Different underwear from the previous night.
On the way to the game I passed a car licenced in Pennsylvania with Hockey sticks in the back seat, Curious......that worried me abit, however they were driving way too slow in the high speed lane and felt that hopefully the Royals will skate like this guy is driving, and then......the sign, Cloneinator pulled along side of us on 71 with his vehicle in full Clone attire. Cloneinator waving, and laughing, and then it occured to me, what a great day this is going to be. I pulled in behind him, and the Clone express rode on......LOL |

When in need of a big win I always go with my Black "We're Back" t-shirt under my Custom lettered "ChazyG" 41 Jersey. It has rarley let me down... Also i wont watch games on B2 because it seems to be bad luck...
we usually go to sluggers for fan club meetings but we are GONE by the time the game starts... LOL |

| in the playoffs anytime I wore my kelly cup champions shirt in full view it was a loss, so I decided to wear it but cover it with my jersey the last three games and BOOM...not that it means anything, but I thought maybe I should wear it but not assume thats where they were headed... |

| Usually my game worn Reid Cashman throw-back night jersey has given good results, and I wear that the most. I'm about 50/50 with my old yellow IHL Cyclones jersey. Since the throw back was in the laundry (if it was clean I would have worn that one), I took a chance and wore just my battleship-gray Cyclones T with a Cyclones cap. This worried me that it was going to be a bad luck combination---thankfully it wasn't! |

We both wore the same thing we wore for game 6 (Except underwear of course). My wife's "lucky sweater" is Matt MacDonald's RED game worn from the Kelly Cup finals!
Also noted that none of the captains touched the conference trophy last night, so that tradition/superstition is alive and well.

mine is simple I get my hair cut and shave
before the playoffs and I don't cut it or shave until
well you know (im not saying them words) I wear a black
undershirt with my Red Jersey. I stared out wearing my Black
96 Rockhead jersey(with gray undershirt) but they lost the 1st 2 so I wore the red one when listing to game 3 and they won so I will wear the Red one from now on. On the way to the game its the same tunes too. CD of choice is Limp Bizkit "chocolate star fish and the hot dog flavor water" and that's about it for me |

Well, I had worn a different jersey to each of the first three Reading games, so they all stank of defeat. On a gut hunch, I brought my white Sproater jersey from last year, on our trip to Reading over the weekend. I also had bought the dark grey American Conference Championship shirt at the merch booth on the night of game 3 thinking I needed something new to make this happen.
I had been picking up pennies (heads up of course) all week and kept them with me. So on the way up the PA Turnpike, they always have the machines that you can press a penny with a certain picture. I made every single one of those "lucky pennies" into something on the way to Reading. I also had "My Lucky Penny" from Vegas in '08 with me.
Sad to say, but I've worn that t-shirt and jersey combo to each game, no washing, and it seemed to do the trick. Not sure if I want to wear that American Conference Championship shirt to the Kelly Cup Finals though. It has a winning record, but it just seems wrong. It also stinks... LOL |

| Speaking of superstitions... Many of you already know this, but for the benefit of those who dont, the superstition is that you do NOT touch the conference championship trophy... you save your strength for whatever cup you win... the Cyclones didnt lay a finger on the Gingher trophy last night, nor did they in 2008... although Las Vegas and Idaho both at least took the Bruce Taylor trophy to the locker room. Again, I am sure about 99% of you are aware of this fact, but for the 1% that dont, here ya go! |

This isn't just for the playoffs, but I have a regular jersey rotation that I go through. I have 5 Clones jerseys in my collection and I rotate through them based on the result of the previous game I attended. If I attend a win with a particular jersey, I wear that jersey until I attend a game that they lose (road games and home games that I don't attend don't count, even if they are losses). Once I attend a loss, that jersey heads to the back of the rack until it becomes that jersey's turn in the rotation again.
The current rotation is as follows:
Current Jersey (will be worn Tuesday for Game 3 regardless of the results of games 1 & 2):
1) 1992-93 Jeff Madill #12 Red Authentic Jersey
On Deck:
2) Black current-era Twister logo with autographs from some of the players on the 07-08 Kelly Cup team, including Jimmy Bonneau, JM Daoust, Chuck Weber, Ryan Maki, Sean Perkins, Chad Starling, Conrad Martin and TJ McElroy
After that:
3) 07-08 White Barret Ehgoetz authentic jersey from MeiGray. Just got it autographed this past year.
4) Old-logo White Replica Jersey
5) Current Logo Red Replica Jersey |
