American Conference Champs Team Up With Matthew 25 Ministries
(CINCINNATI, OH) The Cincinnati Cyclones are teaming up with Matthew 25 ministries for Game 3 of the USA Collision Centers Kelly Cup Finals to create Macaroni & Cheese Night. Patrons attending Tuesday nights game at U.S. Bank Arena are encouraged to bring an unopened box of Macaroni & Cheese. Fans can use these products as a noisemaker throughout the game and donate them as they exit into a Matthew 25 Ministries barrel. Donations will then be donated to Nashville flood relief efforts or other areas of need. Matthew 25 Ministries is an international humanitarian aid and disaster relief organization helping the poorest of the poor locally, regionally, nationally and internationally regardless of race, creed or political persuasion. By rescuing and reusing products from major corporations, manufacturers, hospitals and individuals, Matthew 25: Ministries provides basic necessities, educational materials, adult skill development opportunities, community development and disaster relief across the US and worldwide.
The Cyclones play the Idaho Steelheads in a Best-of-Seven series. The American Conferences fifth-seeded Cyclones secured the berth in the Kelly Cup Finals after knocking off Reading for the American Conference title last night in seven games. Cincinnati became just the sixth team in pro hockey history to rally from an 0-3 deficit in a best of seven series to comeback and win. The Cyclones reached the conference finals after dropping Charlotte, the American Conferences regular season championalso in seven games.
Cincinnati won its opening round best of five series in overtime of game five against South Carolina, the defending Kelly Cup champions. It is the second visit to the Kelly Cup Finals in the last three years for the Cyclones, who claimed the league title in 2008.
For the Kelly Cup Finals, the Cyclones are offering a special championship ticket package. For $45 fans can purchase the same seat for all three potential games in the finals at U.S. Bank Arena. These ticket packages will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis with the best available seats. The package are on sale now and can be ordered by phone at 513-421-7825, x.3. Sounds like a great promotion. It's always a good feeling to help someone in need.
On the ticket package, are prices going up for the Finals? They were $14, but the announcement says $45 for all three games. That would average $15 per game. |

Yes, tickets for the Kelly Cup are $15.00 each, and there are no promotions ($1.00 specialties).
The Mac and Cheese is interesting, but I would think after 60 minutes of rattling boxes they will turn to powder. Plus if Im-a-hoe starts prodding the fans like the Reading Chokers did, people will be tossing them since they won't have the empty dollar beer cans to throw.

Cloneinator - I talked to my ticket rep around 4pm yesterday and he said they marketing team is still working on what promotions they can have for the 3 games here due to the regular promotional contracts being expired. Supposed to be announced today as to what the promotions are. Would be nice if they continued the standard $2 24oz tuesday and $1 thursday, potentially a $1 hotdog/pizza friday. |

After the email US Bank just sent out.....they didnt list any promos. Guess the marketing team dropped the ball on this one. While it wont affect the hardcore fans, the casual ones probably wont show nearly as much. Unfortunately. |

The Mac & cheese package idea is a regular with Las Vegas. Don't look now but Hamilton County will probably raise the parking to $12 also !! |

I still have my towels from that giveaway. _________________________________________________ So do we, but it would be nice to get new ones Does anyone know how come during the Reading series, USBA gave out towels like the Kelly Cup Towel, but only to kids Seems like they should have given them to the first 2000 or 2500 like the Kelly Cup Towel in 2008 |

I would suggest to everyone one of two things. Either wrap the box with tape on the ends to make make sure it doesn't open or put the box in a bag again to protect it. I may just take one box untaped to donate and one taped to shake. If we win, it will come back on Thursday !! |

Macaroni and cheese seems like a great promotion, with the charity and all, but i'm hoping you can give your boxes to the charity at the start of the game, if not....you will be easy to identify my wife and I because we will be covered in cheese powder and pasta, aint no way a couple boxes staying sealed with a toddler and 4 year old. Anyone seeing a sudden burst of yellow/orange powder suddenly erupt into the air from section 124, please send napkins baby wipes, or packages of klenex.
lastly, anyone holding tickets in section 124 I would suggest trading tickets, add a little leaking capri sun pouches and there should be a nice thick orange yellow paste in row Q. |
