What a game! After killing the 3 minute penalty, I had a feeling the Cyclones were going to win! I can't wait until tomorrow night! LETS GO CYCLONES! |

Its nice when you can beat the team you're playing and beat the ref too. Mckenzie shouldve been penalized for the hit from behind, but what about Del Monte getting hit from behind and no call? It was the same kinda hit. Luckily we survived that and I guess Hebert made up for it by giving us a PP with 1 minute left. The crowd did seem uninterested other than when they were crying about penalties. They had their chance with the 3 minute PP and failed, so no one to blame but their own team. Only 4200 for a finals game on a Friday night in Boise was surprising. What else is there to do in Boise on a Friday night? I'd guess we will have that many for the games on tue. and wed. and many more if there's a game friday. |

Not making excuses for them but the arena only holds 5000. Unless thats like our arena holds 13000 but listed at 6800 in the lower bowl. |

Tomorrows officials are.....
Geno Binda (15), Referee Mike Hamilton (80), Linesman Matt Macpherson (83), Linesman |
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I finally broke down and watched on the B2 last night. A few initial thoughts on Idaho:
-They're obviously a good team, but I don't see how they stand out over and above the other elite teams in the American Conference. They're very talented and very capable, but so were SC, Charlotte and Reading, KZoo, Toledo, etc. Tough to judge this on seeing them play only once, though.
-Idaho is VERY dangerous in transition. Lots of fast skaters out there. I would suspect that this is how they did most of their damage throughout the year (probably lots of goals like their first one last night). After the first period, though, I thought the Clones did a great job keeping Idaho's transition chances to a minimum.
-I was surprised that their crowd was a bit lifeless for the majority of the night. 4,217 isn't a bad crowd to have, but I guarantee that a similar sized crowd in a similar situation (Game 1 of the KCF) at USBA would have been a lot louder!
Any other thoughts on Idaho? |

Its tough for me to judge Im-A-Hoe on just game one and never having seen them, but I would have thought they would have been much stronger in the first game. I was very concerned about the "Reading effect" in that they have had some rest while the Cyclones played a hard fought 7 game series and had to travel basically across the country and play in less than 48 hours.
That being said, they certainly don't seem as physical as anyone we have played in the playoffs, or anyone in our division for that matter. They seem a lot like the Cyclones in the area they are patient and play a solid defensive game while they wait for their opportunities. Like it was posted on another thread, the Cyclones need to take advantage of the goal tending situation. The puck seems to take some funny bounces of the boards which I'm sure takes getting use to.
I found it interesting I heard Hammer say at least four other teams in the National Conference offered the Cyclones any scouting report or other assistance they could against them in the finals. |
...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones! |

So they couldnt even sellout a 5k seat arena? Thats even worse since Boise basically has no other professional sports teams.
The Cyclones dont care about playing 6 games in 8 days and traveling across the country and being tired. At this point in the season you just gotta find a way. Like Barret said the other night, they wouldnt want it any other way. Theyre used to playing a lot of games in a short period of time and being tired. Its pretty amazing to watch them just keep winning considering all the circumstances. |
