Let's be loud from the opening faceoff tomorrow night and close this sucker out at home.

The boys looked a little listless tonight, let's get 'em pumped right from the start and take all the drama out of this thing.

GO CYCLONES!!!!!!!!!!!!

So bummed that I will be out of town tomorrow. Hope they seal the deal and bring the cup home. Can't wait for another victory celebration at Fountain Square.

The Boys of Destiny couldn't be denied despite only generating 15 shots.

You know it's gotta be destiny when Ian McKenzie does a Desharnais impression and threads a perfect pass from the corner to Sproat for the game winner. Add Josza scoring with a rocket from the blue line to the mix and the hockey Gods are surely smiling on these Cyclones.

Reid Cashman, after starting the playoffs in hideous fashion, is now showing why he was an AHL regular most of the season. He does so many things well. I don't think that the Cyclones are looking at a single victory from the Kelly Cup without him.

I'd sure love to see Heidinger and Ortiz in the line up instead of McKenzie, Benson and/or Del Monte. Fat chance of that, I know

14 Down and 1 to Go!! As long as Weber keeps Larry Courville out of the locker room, then it's just a matter of when. It sure would be great to do it at USBA in front of a huge gathering.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Four one goal games all of which could have gone the other way. This is far from over. Idaho wins tonight and they achieve their goal of 2 out of 3 here and re own home ice advantage.

Kudos to Sproat for throwing himself in front of PP shot from the slot and then fighting while on the ice to the get the puck out of the zone. Also kudos to Benson ( never thought I would sat that!!) He has played effectively and under control.

Lets win it tonight but the fourth win is the hardest to get

You hit the nail on the head dbc. The boys have been a little flat since they have been home. I think this could be one time where not having a day off between games could be beneficial to the Cyclones. Once they scored the third lamp-lighter along with the crowd during the last couple minutes really seemed to charge them up. If they can score early and put Idaho on their heels it could be interesting.

I've had enough of these one goal games. Lets take them out by 3 or 4 and put it away.

...And on the eighth day, GOD created the Cyclones!

The way this whole playoffs has gone there is no way to predict anything. But I still feel like this thing pretty much has to go 7 games.

I hope it doesn't, and maybe a few freebie goals off of poor play by Idaho in game 4 (turnover to McKenzie and 2 guys screening their own goalie on the Cashman goal) will break the maximum games cycle.
But really. Who knows at this point.

The whole thing is just plain crazy and really fun to watch.

Yes, I grew up playing hockey... In Alabama.

I agree. I know from personal experience that winning the championship game is the hardest single game to win. That being said...

A. Let's do a better job of keeping the traffic away from Mayer. Both goals scored last night were through traffic. If he sees it, he stops it. Move 'em out and then shut 'em out.

B. If we score the first goal and get our crowd 110% into the game, I think it will make the hill seem like a mountain for Idaho. We need to come out flying and put them on their heels.

C. I'm done with the nailbiters too. Let's get up by 3 so the crowd can celebrate the whole third period!!!

let's just have all 14,000 of us stand for the whole game. it will be a lot easier than constantly having to get up when the cyclones score, or make a big save, or work the power play, or score, or grind in the corners, or kill a penalty, or shoot, or play defense, or pass, or win a faceoff, or lay a big hit, or score, or win the cup.

/i said score three times
//is 14,000 a sell out?
///two minutes for slashies

My favorite stat of the series is the amount of Cyclones aggregate time leading the series. It's about 20 minutes (200 minutes have been played). 13 of those minutes were last night. Idaho has been tied (twice) or leading going into the third period (twice) of the four games and has a lucky OT victory to show for it.

It's Destiny.

A sell out for the arena is roughly 15,800-16,000, but some seats wouldn't be sold-the areas near the announcers/press box in the upper bowl. I'd think that 15,400 would be in the vicinity of the capacity number with the current set up.
