ok this may not be the place this should go but its been two plus weeks since the clones have won the kelly cup but many of us need a hokey fix already. the calder cup game 3,4 and 5 will be on direct tv 642 and dish 424. the games start at 8:30 edt. it is always nice to see an echl coach in his first year in the ahl show the ahl how it is done. go texas, former vegas coach Glen Gulutzan who chuck beat for his first kelly cup. dates are june 7,9 and 11. go texas.

Don't forget Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final is tonight, 8:00 PM on NBC. Series tied at 2-2, 3 game series now. Should be fun to watch.

Here are some other suggestions on off-season excursions for the hockey nut.

Film
Roadhogs: The Other Half of the Season (2005) "a 2-hour long film that goes on the road with the Rockford IceHogs professional hockey team to document what life is like when the boys play their road schedule."

The Chiefs (2004) - Good documentary on one of the 'toughest' minor teams in Canada, the Laval Chiefs.

Gaming
NHL 10 (Xbox 360, PS3) - Several great game modes including Quick Play, Be a Pro, Be a GM, and competitive online leagues. I just signed a bunch of Cyclones to the Boston Bruins in GM-Mode. Max Lacroix, Jason Jozsa, and Hans Benson round out my AHL team, while providing Boston with the occasional injury support. :-)

Literature
The Code - The Unwritten Rules Of Fighting And Retaliation In The NHL - Similar in tone to the documentary 'The Chiefs', another pop-culture artifact on the dark side of the sport.

"What daring! What outrageousness! What insolence! What arrogance!... I salute you. "

If you want your butt kicked on PS3 NHL 10, let me know, hehe.
