| Behind Ellis and Smith in Tampa but #1 in Norfolk. Good chance he might see some NHL action from there this season. Has to be confidence builder his Hamilton coach brought him into the tampa system. |

| Being that he was brought in by the former Hamilton people I would assume they didnt bring him in as a backup, I gues they arent big on Tokarski? |

| Awesome for Ceddy! I think it will boost his confidence to know he is worthy of a fine career in the NHL with Tampa Bay. Montreal is so gung ho on Carey Price that I dont think Ced would have had a chance to start in Montreal as long as Carey was around. This is good for him. Stevie Y made a great pick up for his farm system! |

Cedrick, as sad as I am to see him leave Hamilton/Montreal, unfortunately wasn't given any chances to succeed beyond the AHL level there. So good for him going to Tampa, and hopefully being Norfolk's #1 guy. He deserves it.
And because Cedrick's gone, and the guy MTL picked up in exchange has a slim chance of coming to play in North America this year, Robert Mayer most likely gets the nod to be Sanford's back up in Hamilton. So good all around. |

| What's interesting about this trade is Montreal gave up a goalie they had slotted to play in Hamilton for a guy that won't be playing in North America in 2010-11. Unless Montreal signs another goalie, Robert Mayer will be the No. 4 goalie on the depth chart. |

What's really interesting is that all you're doing is repeating what Dannielle had written two days earlier.
Thanks for the insight |

It's very encouraging that those closest to Desjardins-his coach and GM in Hamilton-have decided that they wanted him to come with them as they establish themselves in their new jobs.
With Carey Price the likely #1 goalie in Montreal for the next decade, Desjardins is best off in another organization. Often times-when a player is not a superstar-opportunity is a function of circumstance. Montreal was not the right venue for maximizing his opportunity.
I can only hope that Desharnais can escape the Montreal organization. His size-while never a positive-works against him much more in Montreal given the undersized forward (especially center) roster on the Canadiens.
Ex-Cyclones have really started to make their impact at the highest levels. Weber was sought by new Tampa GM Yzerman and now that organization is plucking up some of the best talent (Cedrick) to have played here. It's really neat to watch the upward movement of so many. |

| Tampa Bay has a couple other young goalies they like a lot so Desjardins isn't assured of being No. 1 in Norfolk. |
