Former ECHL (first edition) Cyclone Craig Charron lost his battle with stomach cancer. He was 42.
Charron was one of just a few ECHL Cyclones who were good enough to make the jump with the team from the ECHL to the IHL. Kevin Kerr and Cory Schwab were the others.
Craig was just a really genuine person. His passing will be mourned by everyone who knew him.
Craig led the original ECHL Cyclones in scoring in 1991-92; was the first-ever star of the game guest when Terry Ficorelli started doing the "Star of the Game" show from the bench and scored the 500th goal in Cyclones history in November, 1992.
