With today's victory over Toledo, the Cyclones will assume first place in their division.
Pretty remarkable considering that the Cyclones started 1-8, have the worst PK in the league and have been outscored by seven goals.
The icing on the cake is that Chet Pickard played great in notching his first victory in his last 17 games to make the Cyclones the top team in their division.
Generally first place isn't worth mention at this point of the season, but when a team starts out as pitifully as the Cyclones did and are able to right the ship so quickly, first place takes on significance.
