On December 2, 1998, Cyclones fan favorites Don Biggs and Geoff Sarjeant were informed following a 2-1 shootout loss against the Cleveland Lumberjacks by general manager/head coach Ron Smith they had been traded (Biggs to Utah & Sarjeant to Detroit).

Dennis Hasty from the website Society for Cincinnati Sports Research (www.scsr.org) was in the Cyclones dressing room after the game and broke the story for the news media, but nobody from the Cyclones management or media relations department were available for comment, and the trades were not officially announced by the club until the next day.

I remember Dec. 2, 1998 very well. The fans were very upset and rightfully so.
Sad day....

Thanks for posting that Donnnie. To me at least its neat to learn about Cyclones history since I wasnt around back then. I get the feeling if anyone else would have posted that nobody would have made smart comments
