Former ECHL Cyclones standout and current Montreal Canadiens center David Desharnais was named to the Western Conference All-Star team as a starter for the 2011 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Capital BlueCross, January 30-31 at Giant Center in Hershey, Pa.
It means people that vote looked at the stats, saw he was among the leaders, and voted for him. That's how it works with these things (All-Star games at the minor pro level).
