The Cyclones are converting at a sorry 9% clip on the pp at home. On the road the team has an almost average 17% conversion rate.

On the penalty kill at home, the Cyclones kill only a pitifully low 67% of penalties successfully. On the road, the team kills an acceptable 80%.

With stats like these, it's no wonder that the team has won only 5 of 15 games at USBA. The Cyclones are capable of acceptable special teams play. Should they be able to bring their fair-to-middling road convert/kill rates to USBA, the Cyclones will be able to turn around their abysmal home ice record.

It's almost impossible to conceive of these south-of-pathetic home ice special teams' numbers to continue for the rest of the season. They almost have to get better due to the law of averages if nothing else

Joe, what do you attribute the home vs. road differential to?
