Looks like DD is up in Montreal to stay for the foreseeable future along with all the other Hamilton call ups. Injury or no injury reasons why DD is up he is getting the NHL experience. Montreal has plenty of ways to send DD down (sign a FA, trades) but they have not so DD is up, may this be the end of this argument because he is up probably for the rest of the year. |

According to Renaud Lavoie's (a hockey reporter for RDS) twitter account (@renhockey) the Canadiens have told David Desharnais to find a place in Montreal. He will not be going to the AHL All Star game.

I have never rooted against Desharnais. I had the same opinion that 30 NHL teams had when they passed on drafting him. I had the same opinion that 30 NHL teams had when they passed on signing him as an undrafted free agent. I had the same opinion that 30 NHL teams had when they didn't sign him as a free agent after he led the ECHL in scoring in 2007-08. There were 30 NHL teams that didn't think he could play, Joe. And the jury is still out on whether he can play in the NHL. A lot of guys look good for a handful of games and then the league catches up to them.
Now bash away with your typical fifh-grade level drivel. |

Who are you kidding with a statement like "I have never rooted against Desharnais". Every time someone posts something positive about an alumni player you do nothing but bash the player in some negative way. Yes we look at the Cyclones with "rose color glasses" because that is what this site is- a CELEBRATION OF CYCLONE HOCKEY !!! You have ruined so many of my topics with your ill feelings that I fully expect more from this. By the way, including now and what seems every time I look in here, you always seem to be online. You must really hate us Cyclones fans to be so devoted to your need to constantly monitor this site. Please go away and make 95% of us happy. |

Desharnais won just one of eight faceoffs last night vs. Anaheim and nine of his last 31 overall. Being good on faceoffs can be the difference between playing in the NHL or AHL for some guys.
