CYCLONES OPEN UP BRIEF TWO-GAME SERIES AGAINST TOLEDO
Cincinnati looks to earn vital division points against Walleye beginning Wednesday night

THIS PAST WEEK:

About Saturday Night vs. Florida: Cyclones captain Barret Ehgoetz' power play goal at the 17:32 mark of the second period proved to be the game-winner as the Cyclones hung on for a 3-2 victory over the Everblades in front of 5,783 at U.S. Bank Arena. It was the 14th career game-winning goal for Ehgoetz and his third of the season. The 'Clones claimed victory in the season series as well, taking five out of the eight games against Florida this season.

About Friday Night vs. Florida: Brady Calla registered his fourth multi-point game of the season as he helped the Cyclones sail past the Everblades by a 6-1 count in front of 3,709 at U.S. Bank Arena. The Cyclones registered a season-high 54 shots on net. Newcomers Paul McIlveen and Casey Pierro-Zabotel also found the net for Cincinnati in its highest offensive output of the season.

About Wednesday Night vs. Florida: Ethan Graham netted a pair of goals, including the game winner, to lift his Florida Everblades to a 4-2 victory over the Cyclones on at U.S. Bank Arena. So far in the six-game season series, the visiting team has won each of the games. Cincinnati forward Brady Calla had his third multi-point game of the season, registering a pair of assists.

STORYLINES:

Goin' Fishing Again: The Cyclones will begin a critical stretch of games for their playoff positioning, as they play four of their next six against North Division opponents - beginning Wednesday night with the Toledo Walleye. After starting the season 4-1 against the Walleye, Cincinnati's I-75 rivals have won four straight meetings and now lead the season series, 5-4-0. All nine matchups have been close encounters - all but two of them getting decided by two goals or less.

Making An Early Mark: Many of the newcomers to Cincinnati's roster made immediate impacts in last week's series against the Everblades. Casey-Pierro Zabotel collected a goal and an assist combined in the first two games while Paul McIlveen added a tally in both as well. Forward Dan Eves also picked up a helper in Saturday night's 3-2 win. Collectively, those three newcomers combined for five points (3 goals, 2 assists).

Game-Winning Glory: With his power-play, game-winning goal on Saturday night, Barret Ehgoetz has now registered 14 game-winners in his Cyclones career - the second most all time. He is just 7 away from capturing the franchise record in this category, currently held by Sheldon Gorski (20).

Another Prospect Between the Pipes: On Monday, the Rochester Americans assigned rookie netminder Brian Foster to the Cyclones. The former University of New Hampshire product began his first pro year with Bossier-Shreveport, earning a 9-9-1 record and a 3.20 goals-against average. The Florida Panthers 2005 fifth-round pick was a Second Team East All-American in his senior season last year.

Whiskey Shots and Wrist Shots: For the first time ever, the Cyclones will offer a unique whiskey tasting prior to the Cyclones game THIS WEDNESDAY night from 6:00-7:30. Fans ages 21 and over can enjoy a whiskey tasting with hors d'oeuvres while overlooking warm-ups from the suite level! There are a limited number of spots available, so contact a Cyclones representative today.
