Cincinnati welcomes in Reading before opening up North Division weekend vs. Wheeling, Toledo, and Kalamazoo

THIS PAST WEEK:

About Saturday Night vs. Kalamazoo: The Wings jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back as they cruised past the Cyclones by a 5-1 final score at Wings Stadium. Rookie netminder Brian Foster came on in relief of Chet Pickard and turned aside 22 of 23 shots in the final two periods. Paul McIlveen registered the lone goal for Cincinnati, earning his seventh point in his last eight games.

About Friday Night vs. Greenville: Defenseman T.J. Fast buried a point blast in overtime to send the Cyclones to a thrilling 4-3 win over the Road Warriors in front of 5,570 at U.S. Bank Arena. It was Cincinnati's seventh victory in the extra session and its 10th come-from behind win of the season. Dustin Sproat's tip-in goal tied the game with 26 seconds left in regulation to force overtime while Casey Pierro-Zabotel had a three-assist night.

About Wednesday Night vs. Kalamazoo: Mathieu Aubin's goal in round four of the shootout sealed the Cyclones 4-3 win over the Wings in front of 2,204 at U.S. Bank Arena. Paul McIlveen extended his point scoring streak to six games while Cincinnati improved its overtime/shootout record to 6-9.

STORYLINES:

Brought to you by the number 3: When Cincinnati's defense holds its opponent to three goals or less, they are deadly - going 22-3-5. The Cyclones have accomplished this feat in six of their last eight games.

A Solid Start: Rookie netminder Brian Foster has been extremely solid since getting assigned to Cincinnati. In four appearances thus far, he has posted a 2-1-0 record with a 2.18 goals-against average. In a relief effort on Saturday, Foster stopped 22 shots against Kalamazoo.

Cranking up the Shots: The 'Clones have continued to be a shooting gallery. Over its last nine games, Cincinnati is averaging 38 shots-per-game while holding its opponents to just 27. They have had 40 shots or more nine different times this season.

Whiskey Shots and Wrist Shots: For the final time this season, the Cyclones will offer a unique whiskey tasting prior to the Cyclones game THIS WEDNESDAY night from 6:00-7:30. Fans ages 21 and over can enjoy a whiskey tasting with hors d'oeuvres while overlooking warm-ups from the suite level!
