Three games tied after two periods and not even a point. Two goals (not counting empty nets) given up in each game in the 3rd period while we scored one all weekend (against a goalie fresh off the bench). Elmira scores four goals in the 3rd period today after being behind 3-0 to win and move into 8th place. We score 4 goals all weekend. Gwinnett wins their 6th straight and stays in 7th.
We started to possibly turn the corner and three things have pulled the rug out. First losing McIlveen was a killer. Maybe that trade should have been addressed earlier. Seems Utah waited until they had our roster just where they wanted it. Smart for them-dumb for us. Now Aubin going back to the "A" further kills our scoring. Now I fear Liambis is a lightning rod for trouble no matter how "clean" he might play. Add in the always scary Pickard goaltending and it's wait till next year. Sounds crazy but I DON'T want to make the playoffs just to get bounced out in the first round.
