47 saves in a 1-0 win in K-zoo where he has now given up one goal in five periods with 69 saves. Given up one goal in the last two games where we have scored only 3 non empty net goals yet have 4pts. He is 9-4-1 which is a .678 percent ( higher than any other TEAM in the league) and with a GAA of 2.16 and a save percent of .924--both tops. He gives this offensively challenged team a chance to win and thats all you can ask.
Now in 6th place a point ahead of Wheeling and Elmira who play tonight. Too happy with this win to discuss Liambus roughing penalty with less than 3 minutes left in the game so i won't
I agree. The kid stands on his head while they manage just 18 total shots in the game and only 3 in the third. After the number of shots he faced in the first two periods I would have thought there would have been an emphasis on helping him in the third. If he able to keep up what he is doing and get the team into the playoffs, Skalde should give him a bonus for likely saving his job.
Regardless of what happens from here, Foster is the MVP. He has saved this team and made Skalde look much better. His numbers are so much better than everyone else we've had in goal this year that it isn't even a discussion.
