| Toledo goaltender Thomas McCollum was on the bench, backing up Joey Macdonald in Detroit last night against the Hawks. Here's hoping McCollum get's to stay with the Red Wings at least until Saturday. |

| If a team finishes among the top eight in the conference, they make the playoffs. Therefore, if the Cyclones finish in the top eight and make the playoffs, they deserve to be there. |

There are 19 teams in the league and 15 of them make the playoffs. It's actually pretty sad to not be one of them, or to count on another team losing it's top goalie in the final week in order to do it.
But, whatever.

| Well if the Cyclones do in fact "back into the playoffs" I can guarantee there will be no apologies from anyone within the organization for being there. Especially when anything can happen once the playoffs start. |

Jimmy Howard is expected back with the Wings on Wednesday. Unless Howard has a setback McColumn will be with Toledo for the final 3 games of the season.

| Just noticed that McCollum was called up to the NHL, and was figuring the Walleye might have a bit more of a struggle to win out, if their starting goalie wasn't around. |

Whoever starts the game is the team's "starting goalie." Teams have a No. 1 goaltender.
