Complete no-show.
Can I get a refund on my season tickets for next year. I'm sick of this crap. |

Exactly why I haven't renewed mine yet. Wait and see what the off season brings. |

We should have, but my wife wanted to be a good supporter and buy them well in advance. After last weekend and tonight we are both regretting it.
Seriously. This crap is embarrassing. I'd have rather done laundry tonight than suffer through that. Again.

Isn't this the final year on Pickard's entry level contract? Think of it more as a bitter sweet send-off... a final eulogy to one hell of a fall from grace.
See ya, Chet. I hope you can afford the Audi payments as a Walmart greeter... Just don't let the shoplifters slip through like the pucks.
Liambas finally squared off against someone that doesn't tower over all 5'9" of him... and still made it look awkward.
Not to dismiss the rest of the Cyclones... they can just be summarized with a simple 'WTF?!'
Foster got his rest, now it's time to run the gauntlet.

Six years ago Cyclones fans would have just been thrilled to have the team back on the ice at USBA again. Now Cyclones fans want a refund on their season tickets because they had a season in which they didn't play well at home. Doing laundry over watching pro hockey in Cincinnati. Really?

I am not asking for a refund but would love to see the team that makes the road trips , they must be awesome compared to the team that plays at home. Yes i know they were giving Foster a rest and so I knew we would give up some easy goals but , even Chet deserved a supporting cast. I hope and pray they show up for Foster in the play offs. This makes at least six periods of scoreless hockey by our guys. It might be more but I am too heartbroken to look back that far. I too remember how thrilled my family was when we were able to walk back into the arena for a new season of hockey when we had been through the great dry spell of no hockey in Cincy, so yes I love the clones just hate when they fail to live up to thier potential. |

| Would be nice to go into the playoffs with Chevrie and Foster.....Pickard just hasn't played well at all. When does the playoff roster come out or have they already? |

Last night was indeed disappointing! The teams play left me wondering "Where is the team that plays so well on the road?". I am just as confused and frustrated as everyone else.
YET......As far as renewing the season tickets I have with my friends, we already have. Why should I/We decide not to renew based on the play of a single season? There are always going to be good years and bad; great or poor teams/players; excitement and frustrations and all the variables of one season to the next! It's minor league hockey and changes (good or bad) will always exsist!! |

Last night and last weekend were not professional hockey Donnie. It was a bunch of guys standing around looking at the other team whip their asses. I love hockey, but not that kind of hockey. It has zero entertainment value and is nothing but frustrating to watch. So... Yes. I would absolutely have rather spent that 3.5 hours of my life doing something else.
Is there any way to put Donnie on ignore on this forum? I'm not kidding. Much like I'd rather do laundry than watch the Cylones let yet another guy stand ignored at the far post and tip in another easy goal, I'd rather have a root canal than read another post by that guy.

I know this topic has been discussed ad nauseam, but when I look at Greenville, I think about what could have been. Greenville is in the running for the Brabham Cup and home ice advantage in the playoffs.
If Greenville wins and Alaska loses tonight, Greenville wins the cup.
I don't know if Dean could have done that here, but it I think the team would have been better.
I like to think that the Clones are last years Johnstown, maybe not AS bad, but very similar. If they can turn their team around in a year, then so can the Clones, with the right Coach.
I think the offseason will be a telling sign of how next year will go. |

As much as it pains me to say this, I must agree with DH. I'm glad we have hockey back in town and unfortunately or fortunately however you want to look at it, we as fans have been living high on the hog the last several years. Two championships and a conference final to boast about. I'm not saying we have to be happy with this years results. We have been to 8 games this year and in those games they are 1 and 7 while being outscored 31 to 8. I would love to be able to afford season tickets for my family but its just not possible.
To put things in perspective, we went to the Bluejackets game last weekend and while the game was great, the environment was like watching a tennis match. The core group of true Cyclones fans would have rocked that place. No crazy dudes dancing around, no rabid section chanting....nothing. This makes the games intertaining and adds to the overall experience.....even when the hockey is less than stellar. I know some of you dont like that stuff but we get a kick out of it.
I guess in all my incoherant rambling, I'm just glad we have hockey and a team that makes the playoffs year after year. It's nice to that the players are so great with the kids and the fans. |

In all likelihood I will renew with three twelve game tickets instead of the two twenty fours I did this year. There simply isn't that much as far as advantages in going with more. It is far easier to wait in line for tickets than wait in the season ticket holder line to exchange them if I go to more games. I attend about twenty games on average, but the long drive and added expenses along with a tighter budget make it harder.
And sorry to say it, but I would rather have done laundry or had a hot poker shoved in my eye than watch the last two "Games" I saw too. It doesn't mean I don't love hockey or the team, but I have better things to do than watch a 100% total lack of effort. It's not a problem I have with losing. It's the lackadaisical effort they consistently demonstrate. |

^^That^^
If you lose 5-0 because you tried your best but got owned by a much better team... OK. Fine.
If you lose 5-0 because everyone is standing around, nobody is hitting anyone, and the other team is getting easy goals while the coach stands behind the bench with his hands in his pockets... No, I'm not OK with that and would rather spend my money on a movie.
In short, I'd much rather have a bad, talentless team out there than one that isn't even trying. Even Barrett was taking shifts off last night and Barrett never takes shifts off.
"Fan Appreciation Night." Someone forgot to tell the head coach. I'd have traded my pulled chicken sandwich for enough effort to at least keep it in the O zone on a 1:30 second 5 on 3.
We wanted to leave after goal #4 last night but we have a rule against that so we gutted it out. We might need to change that rule.

The play was nearly as bad as the game operations. I missed 13 minutes of play in the second period just standing in line for a soda. USBA is terribly incompetent at managing crowds.
As for the Cyclones, the past two home shutouts have been microcosms of the season. The team finished the regular season with a 30 goal deficit in goal differential. No scoring and shaky defense is not a promising formula for the playoffs. |

Another reason why I dread large crowds ! Is everyone in food service too dumb to go with the easy fix for $1 sodas- one 12 ounce can !! You still make a great profit, you can sell in the stand alone booths you use for beers and you get those wanting pop out of the lines. Common sense at the food booths is as scarce as home goals. |
