I would like to see ALL pro leagues mandate a team name would stay with the host city. Baltimore should be the "Colts", New Orleans should be the "Jazz", Atlanta should be able to bring back the "Thrashers" if they choose. Two I would love to see is "Bombers" back in the ECHL for Dayton and "Ice" back in Indianapolis (this time in the ECHL)! |

| I agree with you bags except for on one team. I love the name Dayton Gems. I don't know why, but it just seems to fit. I understand why the name Bombers goes with Dayton, but for some unknown reason in my brain Gems is a great name for the hockey team up there. |

| I will be at the Blue Jackets / Jets game in November. Happy they were able to use the name. |

Would love to see Indy in the ECHL. Is there any possibility of that happening? I know they had a junior team there a few years ago,are they still around? |

Highly inlikely...the junior team plays in the top junior league in the US, is very competitive and the owner has deep pockets. Doubt you see the ECHL there anytime soon... |

With the addition of Chicago, the ECHL needs some closer teams for them. Indy, Fort Wayne, Quad City are "hockey towns" that could fill that need. Still think Lafayette,IN could make a good town with Purdue and Caterpillar and no other sports competition for the town. By the way, I would have no complaint with Dayton Gems of the ECHL ! |

Problem is, ECHL needs Indy but Indy doesn't need the ECHL. Are there fans there that would love to see AA pro hockey back - sure. But the Jr Ice aren't going anywhere and there no other venues where a team could go at this point. Same thing for Lafayette - no suitable venue... |
