Nippert Stadium at the University of Cincinnati would be a good venue for an outdoor game.

That would be cool, although empty.

My guess is the cost would be prohibitive anywhere in the league especially at ECHL prices and few if any ECHL cities have the population and fan support to get to the attendance numbers needed to pay for it. One possibility is that the NHL game this upcoming season is in Philadelphia on Jan 2 and the Trenton Titans--a Philly affiliation-have a home game scheduled against Elmira on Dec 31 at 5pm. As the outdoor rink will already be up and paid for by the NHL, shifting the Titan game to the outdoor rink on Dec 31 might be a way for the Flyers/Titans to cement their relationship, bring in Titan Fans and build their fan base, allow the less affluent Flyer fans to enjoy the outdoor venue at ECHL prices, and bring in Elmira fans who are only a few hours drive away, I know that at Fenway Park they had a series of exhibition games among local colleges, Bruins alumni etc, in the days before the Bruins/Flyers game so the idea of an ECHL game two days before wouldn't be far fetched.

One idea my son and I had was a hockey showcase. Take Columbus for an example. Have 3 games in 1 day, say an ECHL game with the Cyclones, an AHL game with Lake Erie, and then an NHL game with Columbus. Have it at the Columbus Crew stadium or at OSU's stadium and call it the Ohio Hockey Showcase or something to that nature. Or have it on 3 consecutive nights, like a Friday, Saturday, Sunday event and have events to coincide with it.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

ZINGER!!!!!

I like that idea! And I would add that local rivalries would be best... we can have Lake Erie play Grand Rapids, the Cyclones take on Toledo, and the Jackets take on Detroit... close knit regional rivalries all around
